asha Rosa is my given name, however I have been called Rosi all since I was born. I've always wanted a way to have the name Rasha in my life. I think it suits the more nuanced and authentic me, which is the perfect start to understanding me as a photographer.
I am a Marriage and Family therapist by training. I studied, did my internship and had my first job in Seattle, WA. About a year ago, I moved to South Florida with my family to be closer to our extended family.
For a long time, I have wanted to be a newborn and maternity photographer. I absolutely adore newborns and all things birth: nurturing the mamas, soothing babies and their parents, and being with and around those experiencing this glorious life event. It is everything that defines peace.
When we moved, I thought that this could be the time for a transition. And here comes the authenticity. As I grow, I constantly think about this being my "one" life. Although I love being a therapist, and I hope to integrate that back in my life, I know that I am nuanced. I can love and work at more than one thing. Hold the dialectical. In allowing myself to meet me where I'm at, I have discovered that I love to shoot people, all people, although newborns and mamas will always have my heart.

haven't met you yet, and you may not know me, but I am incredibly happy for you. Congratulations to you and your family! I am very excited to have the opportunity to capture this moment and create images that evoke feeling every time you see them.
When you give birth or are growing a baby human, there are so many FEELINGS: joy, excitement, sadness, depressed mood, fear, anxiety and contentment. I get it and I get you. I would never want the experience of documenting this stage to be stressful. I want to support you and enrich this sacred and wondrous time that you are about to experience.
